Christmas is coming! ho ho ho... can you feel it?

A lot of exciting events are coming up! besides the usual christmas caroling, BRANDON IS COMING BACK! wahaha, so good right.

No he didn't fail lah. he's coming back for vacation. damn good lah, cos he's only been there for a short while. this is the first time in many batches that thay are allowed to come home for vacation. joy to the world!!

So that means i don't have to go perth to visit him. felt a bit sad cos i wanted to go overseas wahahaha but it's ok! he can come back and eat laksa and char kway tiao instead. :D


Whee! but i tell you ah, my lecturers totally spoils every little happy moments. just when i'm looking forward to exams being over in 2 weeks...

1) My IO (industrial organisation) lecturer dropped a bomb and threw us a group project to do in 2 weeks. 6 in a group, write a report on one of the papers. no recommended content. no recommended length. 10% of grades. one of pearline's group member wants to write a 10 page thing (similar to a proper term paper which people take 1 month to complete WITHOUT having to study for finals). spoil market. grrrrrr i'm so pissed!

We decided we shall send this lecturer back to india in our student feedback.

2) My chinaman chinese history tutor marked our history essays heavily on GRAMMER. as though i'm taking a module GR1101E instead of HY2205. his main feedback to us was that singaporeans' english is very bad. our grammer is very bad. he is surprised how lousy our english is. that's why we got very low marks for the essays. not saying that chinaman got no right no say our english is bad lah, but where is the feedback for content and writing style? so next time i write history essays just make sure that my grammer is perfect isit???

Then he goes on and on about how he only picked up english when he was 26 and he got some blah award for his splendid english..... when half the people do not understand what's going on in his lectures and people even complained in the module forum.

We decided we shall send this lecturer back to china in our student feedback.

3) Ok last one. we worked our ass off the mno (management and organisation) project. it's like the THE project of the semester cos it's a video thing. besides writing the script, we had to film the thing, edit it (you have no idea how bloody difficult video editing is for us), write analysis and resource guides blahblahblah in addition to having to work in a big team of 7 people.

I'm not going to be nice and show you pictures of my group members and say that i love them a lot. some of them are nice to work with but a lot of times it's just plain frustrating. i gritted my teeth during countless meetings. some people are just too inefficient and uninitiative. they don't listen to what you say and don't ask if they didn't understand what you said and then give ideas that are just plain ******. (insert whatever word you want here) no sense! so sense! why!!!? things moved reeeeeally slowly.

They're very nice people, really. but working with them kills me man. not saying that i'm very capable but some people are obviously NOT. it was very hard trying to monitor every single thing that they were doing and i got very tired. i think i was quite domineering during the initial stages of the project but i thought at least i won't get a C in the end.

And if you look at the final videos, a lot of them were out of point. all these no sense people, i dunno how so many videos can end up out of point when there are 7 people in a group.

I guess that's how it is with team work. loads of grouses and complains but at least we are happy with the final product. i'm sure we attained one of the better scores out there.

But then even though the tutor acknowledged that there are a lot of out-of-point videos, he had to go and tell us this project is only for fun and he pretty much gave everyone about the same score. lishi's video was VERY good and professional compared to mine but i'm only 0.35 marks behind her. wah piang, i'm sure the most out of point video is only 2 or 3 marks behind me. SO BO HUA!!!! i wanna stab myself. i could have done a worst video and get only 4 marks lower than the best video while freeing up infinity time to study.

Nevermind. relax. at least i know i did a good job for this. i deserve a pat on the back.
