The Art of Getting By

one day i was late. i discovered that a lot of people are late too.

Helloooooo blog. my last day of work is this fri and i'm very happy that i will get about $630 after only working for 3 weeks minus one day, taking into consideration of CPF and times where i've been late. speaking of lateless, i was late today. it was raining. boy, you can never imagine how many people are late for work everyday on the whole. especially on rainy days.

Work starts at 9.30am for me, and i know most people start at 9am. so the thing is, usually the train is not packed when i board it cos it's already a little past peak. but on rainy days, the train gets reeeally more packed than usual at my time. so i figured out the most likely reason is that

1) People stay in bed longer, and need to take some time to search out their umbrellas, so they're later than usual.

Or it could be 2) It's dangerous/slower to drive on rainy days so everyone takes the train.

And i think 1) is more likely than 2) because i see people RUNNING. as soon as the train door opens, they hurryupfasterquickly RUN to the escalator/lift (whichever is nearer), through the barrier along the underground tunnel. i don't see why they would run if they weren't late.

But me as usual was walking leisurely and amusing myself watching those people run. cos it doesn't matter if i'm late for 1 min or 15mins anyway. but it matters if i'm late for 16mins though. aiya, it's complicated.

So anyway, this is my time-table of the week:

Mon: work, jazz dance
Tues: work, jazz dance
Wed: work, jazz dance
Thurs: work, possible nice special secretive lunch with brandon, jazz dance
Fri: work, rag dance
Sat: jazz dance, activities that can make me happy
Sun: free

Ya. i dunno how i survive with this kinda programme. i think cos i haven't come to terms with it yet. or maybe the possible nice special secretive lunch made everything good. :)

And we use the common area at AS7 for most of our jazz practices. there'll be other groups doing their dances/drama/singing/orientation whatever at that area as well. so on some fine days we'll spot this group of 5 very tall and super wannabe looking boys singing ni de da yan jing~~ or tian tian dou shi hao xing jing~~ or feng! yun! bian! se!!!! while making some limb movements which are supposed to look very suave. and the security guard says they're from the SUPERBAND show. omg. i don't watch. but anyway, i thought boybands are like, so 90s.

note: boyband boys just stand around singing, while trying to look very shuai. they do not have much musical talents. like westlife or backstreet boys or F4. but it's not too bad if they can dance vigorously well.
