The Art of Getting By

we went to JB

Friday, May 12, 2006

Ok i haven't been to the zoo yet but i went JB with dear lishi cheryl and sunny! and my mum set a few guidelines for me to go JB.

1) hold your bag closely and tighly to yourself at all times.
2) wear an old plain white t-shirt.
3) go to the toilet in a crowd.
4) in fact, go ANYWHERE in a crowd, never go alone.
5) hide your passport with a lousy ugly BLUE passport cover and hide it again in an envelope.
6) cannot buy so many things.
7) do not take out your handphone at all times. if needed, hide in one corner to use.
8) do not walk too close along the road as bikers could grab you.

In addition, i wonder i should take further steps to cover my face in dirt so that i'll look like a begger. it seems as though there are theives and robbers and rapists everywhere you turn.

Just kidding. but the guidelines are real which i obviously didn't follow all. s'cuse me did you think i will wear some old white t-shirt out?? like, so totally unglam.

But the truth is, i was almost reluctant to take out my camera when in a crowded place. i dunno if i'm becoming too paranoid like my mum. we spotted a signboard that says 'TiTBiTs papa' and were so amused that i wanted to take a picture of it but i couldn't capture the words, so i hurriedly kept my pretty bimbotic pink cam before anyone notices it (it's supposed to be tiDbits in case you didn't notice).

We watched MI3 for RM10. it was a great show and all. makes you cling on to the seat throughout the entire show. but halfway through it i felt horrible, i couldn't stand watching to see what happens cos it was too heart-arresting. i felt really exhausted on my way out.

Before MI3 sunny was narrating to us about watching movies in Thailand. just before the show started they presented a picture of their king and every single person in the theatre have to stand up... unless if you want to get arrested.

WE ate cakes from 'Sweet Recipe' too. do you know it originated from Malaysia? just like Ramley burgers. we were damn happy to discover that the price were the same despite the exchange rate difference. see it's things like this that makes you happy and wanna go Malaysia. but then i was thinking should we feel pissed instead? that a piece of cake selling at RM5.30 but SGD5.30 or Ramley selling RM2 but SGD2 means we are getting ripped off here..........?

Do you know that in Shanghai, BreadTalk sells about 1/3 the price of BreadTalk in Singapore? so does Macdonalds and a dozen other things.
