The Art of Getting By

i am my boyfriend's girlfriend

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

I was reading a blog entry, and it triggered me to think about something.

Would you want to refer yourself to others as your boyfriend's girl? (or girlfriend's boy)

Like, "hi everyone, this is brandon's girl here..."

I think it's damn weird.

I think it's worse to say, "hi everyone, this is desiree's boy here." (people who know desiree might start getting some wild ideas here but THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE.)

If someone talks to me directly and says things like "hey so-and-so's girlfriend. how are you?" i think i'll slap him. it's so rude. not that i'm not proud to be so-and-so's girlfriend, it's just that I HAVE A NAME! why would i want people to know me as so-and-so's girlfriend and not by JINLING?

If brandon starts refering to himself as "jinling's boy" i think i'll roll on the floor and die laughing at him.

What do you think? hmm.
